November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo as it’s more commonly known. This is a global effort to write 50,000 words of a novel in November. Read more about this and sign up to take part in the challenge on the NaNoWriMo.org website.
Plenty of writers from the Writers of Whitstable Group are having a go, good luck to all! There is lots of encouragement and advice to be found on the very active Kent NaNoWriMo Facebook group- find this here.
Plenty of local write-ins have been arranged, and here’s some Whitstable dates we’ve set up:
Tuesday 18th 7pm-9pm at the Marine Hotel (I can’t guarantee plugs for laptops, but they are fine with a bunch of writers turning up!)
Friday 21st 1pm-3pm at the Beach Cafe.
Friday 28th 9.30am – 3pm at the Museum Education Space, Oxford Street. (The room next door to the museum.) There’s a bathroom and small kitchen, but do bring snacks and drinks. All welcome to join in with a pot luck/shared lunch at 12 if you fancy it. Bring cookies, sandwiches, cake and we’ll take a break for an indoor picnic.
Hope to see you at one of these writing sessions, and good luck NaNoWriMoers!
